Where funding from registered trading banks is not going to be the best option for your project requirements, Property Finance NZ can leverage a robust network of non-bank lenders.
As a consequence of restrictive bank lending criteria, dozens of new lenders with the ability to fund property acquisitions and provide construction funding have emerged. Our team knows who they are and what they can do for you. If your bank has said “NO”, or you are unable to meet difficult loan conditions, then speak to us and take advantage of our long-term relationships with these new non-bank lenders and get your projects funded.
International Non-Bank Finance
From mid-2019 we became aware of several international funds looking to lend in New Zealand and provide construction and development finance on projects from $10 Million to $300 Million.
We also noticed that the main Australian and Chinese banks were starting to take a reduced position in the construction and development finance market by having lending criteria that are very difficult to satisfy in today’s market.
Also, projects are getting bigger and can be too large for the banks. The onset of Covid19 in early 2020 has only made the banks even more conservative.
Property Finance NZ has been successful in building relationships with these international funds and is currently working on funding facilities from $10 Million to $300 Million.
